Professional Experience

EPC IT Solutions

  • Chief Technology Officer Sep 2020 - Present
  • Systems & Network Engineer 2019 - 2020
  • Support Specialist I-III 2017 - 2019

Promoted three times in three years on the strength of demonstrated ownership - from entry-level support to final escalation authority for all technical and executive decisions across a 15-person MSP supporting 100+ business clients and up to 10,000 endpoints. Led the company through SOC 2 Type I compliance (2022).

  • Diagnosed and resolved a full production data center outage during a live colocation relocation - rebuilt two failed systems and restored all services within a single 8-hour overnight window with zero client impact or SLA breach; instituted the company's first formal change-management process as a result.
  • Designed and deployed a self-hosted MCP (Model Context Protocol) platform giving Claude structured, secure access to core business systems (RMM, PSA, documentation, email/Slack) - architected a fail-closed authentication layer with per-employee token issuance/revocation and full audit logging, with SOC 2/HIPAA/CMMC-aware data boundaries built in from the start.
  • Directed a standalone, billed Microsoft Copilot deployment for a client, implementing semantic/vector-based search across Teams and SharePoint with permission-aware data access; achieving full company-wide adoption.
  • Led vendor evaluation and migration of the company's RMM platform (ConnectWise Automate to NinjaOne) across 100+ clients, personally engineering automation scripts, patch management policy, and security boundaries; completed the pilot client migration with zero service disruption, with phased rollout now underway company-wide.
  • Designed and built a fully redundant VMware Horizon VDI environment for a 40-seat engineering/CAD client, engineering licensing-aware load balancing and right-sized (GPU-free) compute to meet performance requirements - ran in production for 4+ years.
  • Own end-to-end design, security, and tooling strategy for the company's self-hosted colocation data center; lead a 4-person technical team and partner with the CEO on hiring and technical interviewing.
